GLOBAL, September 18, 2024: A series of explosions targeting communication devices in Lebanon Wednesday has resulted in the deaths of 14 people and injuries to 450 others. These blasts were triggered by the detonation of thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah.
It is believed that these attacks, which allegedly attributed to Israel, could potentially escalate the ongoing conflict between the two sides into a full-scale war. Multiple explosions were reported in various parts of Lebanon, particularly in Hezbollah strongholds in eastern and southern Beirut, as well as the eastern region of Bekaa where three persons were wounded.
According to al-Manar TV, Wednesday’s explosions occurred in multiple locations and were caused by the detonation of walkie-talkies. These attacks took place just one day after similar incidents involving pagers resulted in the deaths of 12 people, including two children, and injuries to approximately 2,800 others.
