RV Suchiang made new Chief Information Commissioner

Governor CH Vijayashankar administered swearing in ceremony

SHILLONG, April 03, 2025: Former Meghalaya Chief Secretary RV Suchiang was Thursday sworn in as the State Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan. The swearing-in was administered by Governor CH Vijayashankar in the presence of various state government officials and the newly appointed CIC’s family members.

The event commenced with the playing of the National Anthem, followed by the reading of the official notification by FR Kharkongor, Commissioner Secretary, Department of Arts and Culture, who announced Suchiang’s appointment.

Suchiang will serve a three-year term as the Chief Information Commissioner of Meghalaya.
