Rs 2 lakh sanctioned from PM Relief Fund for Tripura patient

Former Chief Minister Deb expressed gratitude to PM for the support

AGARTALA, October 29, 2025: A woman who is suffering from an acute illness got a sigh of relief after getting a sanction of Rs 2 lakh from the PM Relief Fund. The money was made available to Anita Pal Das, a resident of Khayerpur in west Tripura, for her advanced treatment.

“I express my sincere thankfulness to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for sanctioning Rs 2 lakh for the advanced treatment of Anita Pal Das," the former Chief Minister and MP from West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency Biplab Kumar Deb said in a statement Wednesday.

The patient earlier approached Deb for financial assistance to carry on her treatment. The former Chief Minister wrote to the PMO for the support, which was sanctioned within a short time.
