NATIONAL, November 13, 2025: Grant Thornton Bharat, in partnership with the CII, published a report titled “Continuous Improvement Journey of Higher Education Institutions,” which discusses the transformative impact of NEP 2020 on India’s higher education.

The policy aims for a 50% Gross Enrolment Ratio by 2035, necessitating an 85% increase in enrolments and a sustained growth rate in education capacity. Key recommendations highlight the importance of systemic innovation, digital enablement and collaboration among educational stakeholders.

Insights from roundtables with universities emphasize interdisciplinary learning, employability-focused curricula and the need for higher education institutions to adapt quickly by integrating innovation and responsiveness into their operations.

Noteworthy practices include AI-powered learning models and partnerships with industry to enhance skill readiness for future job markets.
