Reliance to explore investment opportunities in Tripura

AGARTALA, December 09, 2024: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said that a team from the Reliance Group of Industries will visit Tripura to explore potential investment opportunities in the state. He met with Reliance Group Chair and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani recently in Mumbai.
“I had a discussion with Mukesh Ambani for about 45 minutes during which he assured me that he would send a team to the state soon”, the Chief Minister stated at a programme held in Khumulwng, near here, Monday. Reliance Industries Limited is a Fortune 500 company and the largest private sector enterprise in India.
Dr Saha also took the occasion to mention the signing of a MoU with Tata Group to upgrade the ITIs in the state, which were “neglected for years”. He highlighted the significant transformation under the BJP's leadership citing the signing of multiple agreements and the establishment of peace in the region.
He mentioned the development of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) stressing the designation of 12 blocks as Aspirational Blocks. The BJP-led government is committed to socio-economic development and political empowerment of the tribal people, he added.
Chief Minister also referred setting up of the Tripura Tribal Research and Cultural Institute and Museum at Labancherra to preserve the state's history, culture and traditions.
