NATIONAL, August 09, 2025: The Railway Ministry's Round Trip Package is an experimental scheme designed to avoid rushes and facilitate booking during peak festival seasons. The scheme applies to passengers who choose their return journey during a prescribed period.

Officials said the rebates are applicable for both onward and return journeys, with the same passenger details for both. The booking start date is August 14 for the ARP date of October 13, 2025.

Onward tickets must be booked first for the train start date between October 13, 2025 and October 26, 2025 and then for the return journey ticket between November 17 and December 1, 2025. A total rebate of 20% is granted on the base fare of the return journey.

The scheme is applicable to all classes and trains, except for special trains with Flexi fares. No discounts, vouchers, passes or PTOs are allowed during return journey booking on a concessional fare. Both onward and return journey tickets must be booked using the same mode, either online or counter at reservation offices, the officials added.
