NATIONAL, August 09, 2025: Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh said that at least five Pakistani fighter aircraft and one large military plane were destroyed during military strikes on the neighbouring country in May last. The Indian forces also hit at least two command and control centres, six radars, two SAGW systems and damaged three hangars at separate places.
Speaking at an event connected to the HAL in Bengaluru Saturday, the Air Chief said that the war was a high-tech war and it was clear that Pakistan would pay more for the damage if the conflict continued. The Indian government's decision to pause the operation was backed by the Chief of Air Staff, who asserted that the nation had taken a good decision.
Singh also discussed the Balakot attack, stating that the forces had intelligence of what had happened inside the area and had a clear picture of the damage. He expressed happiness that the Indian forces were able to take care of the ghost of Balakot and tell the world what they had achieved.
India's decisive military response was made after the April 22 Pahalgam (Jammu & Kashmir) terror attacks, which killed 26 people.
