AGARTALA, October 25, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has opined that politics cannot be done through force and communal provocation. He stated that the current government is working for the welfare of the people in Janajati (Tribal) areas and the ruling BJP is working to free the state from the politics of fear.
Chief Minister, also a senior BJP leader, welcomed 339 voters from 109 families into the BJP at in Mandwai in west Tripura Saturday. The Chief Minister has been presiding over the joining programme over the past three days.
Dr Saha stressed that the Janajatis (Tribal people) are braver than the other groups. He asserted that the BJP is working to free the state from the politics of fear, from the cycle of violence, murder, terrorism and arson.
Chief Minister highlighted that the terminology of politics in India has changed since Narendra Modi assumed office in 2014 and the BJP government was established in Tripura in 2018 after defeating the communist regime. He rejected the idea of adopting various tactics in the name of politics to create pressure politics which they will not accept under any circumstances.
Similarly, the government will not bow to any communal provocation from any quarter.
The joining programme was attended by BJP state President Rajib Bhattacharjee among others.
