PM to visit Japan for 15th India-Japan Annual Summit
To focus on the Special Strategic and Global Partnership

GLOBAL, August 27, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the 15th India-Japan Annual Summit in Japan marking his eighth visit to Japan and his first with Shigeru Ishiba.
The visit of PM to get underway Thursday will focus on the Special Strategic and Global Partnership between India and Japan including defence, security, trade, economy, technology, innovation and people-to-people exchanges.
The visit will also reaffirm the friendship between the two countries. Modi will then travel to China for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit, where he is expected to hold bilateral meetings with several leaders.
