Open super six cricket tournament concludes

KOHIMA, March 14 2021: First ever Open Super Six Cricket Tournament, concluded Sunday at Ruzuhukhrie Government Higher Secondary School Ground in Kohima with Youngsters emerging as the winners.
In the final match, Youngsters played against NV Press. Youngsters batted first and set a target of 52 runs in 6 overs. NV Press managed to score 37 runs in the allotted 6 overs. Bishal was declared the man of the match.
Earlier, in the pre-quarter round, NV Press and KODH won their respective matches against WELP and MC Aloo. In the first quarter final match, Youngsters defeated Silverbacks by 3 wickets. In other quarter final matches, BRTF(A) defeated Sunari Union and XL Red academy won against Jagaurnauts.
In the first semi final, Youngsters between BRTF(A), Youngsters won by 2 wickets while NV Press defeated XL Red by 16 runs in the other semi final.
The convener of the tournament Vikato Wotsami thanked Raju Roy, sponsor of first price, the umpires, the players, the Kohima District Veterans Cricket Club, cricket lovers and media & DIPR for the media coverage. He also expressed special gratitude to the concerned authority for allowing the ground to be used.
An exhibition match was played between the organiser United Brothers and the sponsors, which was won by the former.
