NFR delegation meets Tripura CM to discuss services
The meeting also covered introduction of new express trains

AGARTALA, March 03, 2025: A delegation from the Northeast Frontier Railways (NFR) met with Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha at Agartala Monday to discuss the development of railway services and infrastructure in the state, including electrification of railway lines, electric passenger trains and the introduction of the Agartala-Guwahati intercity rail service.
The meeting also covered the introduction of Agartala-Jammu, Agartala-Puri, and Agartala-Gaya Express trains, alternative railway lines, rail connectivity and the construction of a fuel storage depot in the state.
The Chief Minister advised railway authorities to transform Agartala Railway Station into a world-class station while ensuring station cleanliness. The meeting was attended by Secretary Dr Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty and Assistant Transport Commissioner Maitree Debnath.
