Nationwide initiative: The 17th edition of the Rozgar Mela held
58 youths handed appointment letters across various departments

REGIONAL, October 24, 2025: The 17th edition of the Rozgar Mela, a nationwide initiative to provide employment opportunities to the youth, took place at the State Convention Centre in Shillong Friday. 58 youths were handed appointment letters across various Central Government departments, including 16 in the Department of Posts, 3 in NEEPCO, 2 in the CRPF, 27 in the Railways and 10 in the State Bank of India.
Union Minister of State for External Affairs & Textiles Pabitra Margherita graced the event as the Chief Guest. Since the launch of the Rozgar Mela, over one million appointment letters have been distributed across the country, reshaping India's employment landscape.
“The government's focus on employment generation and skill development has never been stronger, with initiatives such as the Employment-Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme, upgrade of Industrial Training Institutes and new opportunities under the Skill India Mission creating pathways for millions of young Indians," the Minister said.
The event was attended by several dignitaries.
