Musical excellence: The 25th All India Police Band Competition

REGIONAL, November 18, 2024: The 25th All India Police Band Competition organised by the Assam Rifles Training Centre & School (ARTC & S) was held in Dimapur Monday. This event celebrated musical excellence and unity among India's police bands featuring 27 bands from across the country.
Governor La Ganesan, who graced the event, highlighted the importance of music in military tradition stating that it is an essential tool for communication and coordination during battles. He urged participants to embrace the spirit of competition with enthusiasm and sportsmanship, and encouraged them to share their unique stories through their music.
He also expressed his wish for the event to foster a stronger bond and camaraderie between the police forces of India.
The event included a welcome address by the Additional Director General of the Assam Rifles.
