Of armed forces and civil services begins in HQ 101 AREA

SHILLONG, September 20 2022: A mid-career interaction program for officers of Armed Forces and civil services is being conducted at Shillong by HQ 101 Area. The programme that got underway Tuesday will culminate on September 22.

The theme of this interaction programme is Evolving Joint Functional Structures for Real Time Intelligence Gathering and Sharing'. Speaking at the program, Lt Gen KC Panchnathan, AVSM, GOC 101 Area, brought out the challenges in intelligence gathering as large number of intelligence agencies are involved  which requires greater coordination.

He further stressed on the need of integrated intelligence set up for seamless flow of information. He urged the participants to contribute wholeheartedly in arriving at better and refined structures.

Sreeprakash J, Wing Commander, PRO Defence, informed that during the three day event from September 20 to 22 a large number of speakers of repute and subjects experts will be interacting with the participants. The interaction program will benefit both the Armed forces and civil services officers by way of mutual learning from each other’s strength and exchanging best values, culture, customs and ethos with each other.

This in the long run is expected to help combat future challenges to the National Security in a better and more coordinated way.
