MHA, state government sign MoS with NLFT, ATTF at New Delhi
Central government sanctioned Rs 250 Crore for welfare of ex-militants

AGARTALA, September 04, 2024: The National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All-Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) have joined the mainstream for participation in the development journey with signing the Memorandum of Settlement at New Delhi Wednesday ending a 35-year-long conflict and returning to the mainstream.
The agreement renouncing violence and committing to building a prosperous and developed Tripura, reposing their trust in the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi ad Home Minister Amit Shah. Dr Saha expressed his gratitude to Home Minister Amit Shah for creating an atmosphere of peace, prosperity, and goodwill in the entire North-East region.
Home Minister Amit Shah along with former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, TIPRA founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman and senior officials of the MHA and the state government witnessed the signing.
Chief Minister said a dozen peace agreements have been signed in the northeast in the last 10 years to resolve many complex issues with Tripura alone having three agreements so far. The Government of India has sanctioned Rs 250 crore for the welfare of persons who have joined the mainstream.
Dr Saha expressed great satisfaction that the members of the NLFT and ATTF have decided to join the mainstream for participation in the development journey spearheaded by Prime Minister Modi. He welcomed the members back to the life of peace and prosperity with the spirit of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas" and wishes them a grand future.
