NATIONAL, July 31, 2024: The INSPIRE-MANAK Scheme is a flagship programme jointly implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the National Innovation Foundation (NIF)-India. Its main objective is to foster creative and innovative thinking among students aged 10-15 years who are studying in classes 6-10.
The MANAK Scheme aims to collect one million original and innovative ideas from students in over 500,000 middle and high schools across the country. The best ideas will be selected based on their potential to address societal needs and applications, and the students behind these ideas will be awarded an INSPIRE Award.
This will encourage them to further develop their ideas into prototypes and products. It is important to note that registered schools under the INSPIRE-MANAK Scheme can nominate up to 5 of their best ideas each financial year through the online platform E Management of INSPIRE-MANAK Scheme (E-MIAS) on the web portal www.inspireawards-dst.gov.in .
The online nominations for the 2024-25 period have already begun and will be open until September 15 2024.
