Khelo India Youth Games - Sendoff ceremony held
Meghalaya contingent comprises of 32 athletes and 10 officials

SHILLONG, May 27 2022: Meghalaya Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh Friday accorded a warm sent off to the Meghalaya contingent which will be participating in the Khelo India Youth Games, which will take place in Panchkula in Haryana from June 3 to 4.
The programme organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya was held at SAI Football Ground at the NEHU Campus in Shillong.
Speaking on the occasion Banteidor Lyngdoh stated that as athletes representing the state, it is important to maintain discipline, dedication, to perform well and bring laurels to the state. He also stated that Meghalaya has already implemented the sport policy which will be beneficial for the young athletes and budding talents of the state.
The Minister also shared words of encouragement for the athletes of Meghalaya contingent and reiterated the importance of team spirit and a fighting spirit to achieve their goals.
The Meghalaya contingent comprises of 32 athletes and 10 officials who will be competing in Football, Athletics, Judo, Swimming and Boxing. The team is led by Darlene M Khonglam as the Chef De Mission.
