REGIONAL, September 04, 2025: A distinguished delegation from the Karnataka Legislative Assembly’s Committee on Public Undertakings called on the Meghalaya Assembly Speaker Thomas A Sangma Thursday. The meeting marked an important moment of inter-state engagement, fostering dialogue and strengthening institutional cooperation between the two legislatures.

The Karnataka delegation was led by Basavaraj Neelappa Shivannanavar, Member of the Legislative Assembly and Chairman of the Committee. He was accompanied by Araga Jnanendra, MY Patil and Allamaprabhu Patil, all Members of the Legislative Assembly, along with Umashree and Bharathi Shetti, both Members of the Legislative Council.

The interaction with Thomas A Sangma provided a meaningful platform for the exchange of insights on governance practices and public undertakings thereby reinforcing the spirit of cooperative federalism and legislative collaboration.

The meeting was also attended by Meghalaya Deputy Speaker Timothy D Shira along with senior officials.
