Ex-CM highlights reconstruction of disaster affected people

The MHA responded with funds for the affected population

AGARTALA, September 04, 2025: Former Tripura Chief Minister and Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, a member of the Advisory Committee chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, highlighted the delay in recovery and reconstruction of people affected by natural disasters in the state.

He cited the delay in conducting post-disaster surveys as a cause for difficulties in rehabilitation. Deb's demand was given priority and a positive response was received, a statement from his office read.

In response, the Union Home Ministry has deployed the Integrated Disaster Management Team (IMCT) on August 19 allocating funds for the affected population. The IMCT visited affected areas, assessed damage and assured that the allocated funds would reach affected families.
