Justice Indrajit Mohanty takes oath as CJ of Tripura HC
He replaced Akil Kureshi who transferred to Rajasthan HC

AGARTALA, October 12 2021: Justice Indrajit Mohanty has been sworn in as the sixth Chief Justice of the High Court of Tripura. Governor Satyadeva Narayan Arya administered oath of office to him at Raj Bhavan Tuesday.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarman, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik, high court judges, Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia and Chief Secretary Kumar Alok were present at the swearing in ceremony.
Justice Indrajit Mohanty was the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court prior to his posting in Tripura. He succeeded Akil Kureshi who has been transferred to Rajasthan as Chief Justice.
Justice Mohanty interacted with newsmen after his oath taking ceremony where he said that he felt blessed for being appointed as Chief Justice of the High Court of Tripura during Durga puja festival.
