Issues concerning Tripura focused at the DRUCC committee meeting

REGIONAL, December 05, 2025: Distinguished business leader from Tripura Sujit Roy Friday attended the DRUCC Committee Meeting of Northeast Frontier Railway's Lumding Division. During the meeting held at Lumding, he raised critical concerns about the state of Tripura's railway infrastructure and passenger convenience.
Roy provided key suggestions including increasing the frequency of the Agartala-Delhi Rajdhani Express, constructing an additional foot over bridge and platform sheds at Agartala Station, upgrading Jogendranagar Station, repairing Jirania Station, expediting the installation of escalator and elevator at Dharmanagar Station, and expanding platform-level sheds.
The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) assured Roy that these issues would be thoroughly reviewed and addressed.
