International Paragliding Championship 2024 opened
The Event will feature pilots from around the world

REGIONAL, December 10, 2024: The International Paragliding Championship 2024 has been officially inaugurated in Serchhip in Mizoram marking the start of a week-long aerial competition. The event, which will run until December 13, will feature pilots from around the world, including 17 Indian pilots (8 from Mizoram) and others from South Korea, Nepal, Kazakhstan and Indonesia.
The event is part of the International Paragliding Championship and Aero-sport Festival, which also features a Fish Angling Event and a variety of stalls at Zawlpui. The closing ceremony will be held at the Zawlpui landing site, where Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma will be the chief guest.
The event is part of a wider celebration of the region's culture and attractions.
