I-Day: 171 Special Guests with Anganwadi workers in Delhi

NATIONAL, August 14, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead India in celebrating the 79th Independence Day from the Red Fort in Delhi on August 15. 171 Special Guests, including Anganwadi workers, supervisors, children from CCIS, CDPO, DCPO staff and officials from the Department of Women and Child will attend the ceremony.

These guests represent grassroots efforts to improve lives and expand opportunities for women and children across the country. They will witness the historic Independence Day ceremony from the Red Fort and visit notable landmarks in New Delhi from August 13-16.

Union Minister of Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi praised the Special Guests for their selfless work at the grassroots, bringing hope, dignity and opportunity to countless families. The Ministry of Women and Child Development will take pride in honouring these champions of change.
