Good achievement in areca nut plantation in Tripura

AGARTALA, January 13 2021: In the financial year 2020-21(MGNREGA) the ADC Sub-Zonal of Ampi nagar branch under Ampi nagar RD block has implemented 110 hectares of areca nut plantations here in different 22 ADC villages in Ampi nagar in Tripura. ADC Sub-Zonal is a rural development ADC government agency which is providing various project scheme facilities to the poor rural villagers to make them self-reliant in their family economic status.
As per the report total 110 hectares of hilly lands amidst 220 poor beneficiaries from different ADC villages in entre Ampi RD block have got this mega areca nut gardening project implementation amenity. In the financial year 2020-21 all these gardens have been accomplished by the concerned zonal authority, said a section of beneficiaries from different Panchayats.
Sources said the zonal authority is creating hefty income sources for the poor hilly people to generate rural social development. This areca nut garden is a preferable project for hilly areas which will generate durable income source for the poor beneficiaries, said one of the officer of the concerned department.
The concerned Zonal authority has provided them some additional amenities too such as fertilizer, weeds cleaning expenditure, garden fencing etc for the better project management. The beneficiaries were provided essential project related tips over this areca nut plantation how to take care of their projects including garden protection techniques and inspired them regarding the harvesting benefit.
It seems that if the beneficiaries take proper care of these gardens and protect them from cattle and other obstacles then each of them will obtain a measurable financial income from their areca nut projects in future which will bring financial stability in their families ahead.
