The festival returns home to Shillong with its biggest edition
THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER. The Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2025, one of India’s most beloved and anticipated music and cultural experiences, has officially announced global hip-hop icon TYGA as its final headliner.
With this announcement, the 2025 edition promises to be the biggest in the festival’s history — featuring six international artists across two electrifying days, alongside a powerhouse lineup of India’s top performers, regional legends, and local talent.
This year’s festival marks a homecoming for the Cherry Blossom experience, as it returns to the heart of Shillong — the city where it all began. The 2025 edition will be hosted at the iconic J.N. Stadium & Polo Grounds, which will feature a massive new main stage setup — the largest ever constructed in the region at 60ft high, setting a new benchmark for live entertainment in Northeast India.
The festival has already announced an extraordinary lineup, including The Script, Diplo, Aqua, Nora Fatehi, Jason Derulo, and many more, representing a wide spectrum of genres — from pop, EDM, and hip-hop to rock, indie, and regional fusion. With Tyga now completing the roster, the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2025 truly has something for every generation and every music lover.
“This year will be unforgettable — a true showcase of Shillong’s soul, its sound, and its creative energy,” said the organizing team. “The Cherry Blossom Festival is not just an event anymore — it’s becoming a major city takeover festival that celebrates art, music, and culture in every corner of Shillong.”
Presented by Meghalaya Tourism, co-sponsored by Bacardi Experiences, powered by Star Cement, and driven by Toyota, the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2025 is managed and produced by Rockski EMG — the team behind some of Northeast India’s most iconic live experiences.
