Ex-CM Deb inaugurates Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar Auditorium in UP

Mingled with 25 trial students from Tripura in the RSS run school

NATIONAL, May 13, 2025: Former Tripura Chief Minister and Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb Tuesday inaugurated the Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar Auditorium at Shrimati Brahmadevi Saraswati Balika Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. The school is run under the ideology of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and currently has around 100 students from the North Eastern states enrolled with the support of the Sangh. 

Among these students, 25 are from tribal communities in Tripura. Besides receiving education through the Sangh, students also have access to other extracurricular opportunities.

During his speech, Biplab Kumar Deb said it is important to ensure women's empowerment in Tripura under the incumbent coalition government. He noted that while the communists had long claimed to prioritise women's rights, there was little action taken for their welfare when they had successive governments in the state.

However, since the BJP-led government came to power in 2018 it has taken steps such as implementing a 33% reservation for women in all recruitments. Deb also discussed various initiatives for the welfare of women.

He also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his decisive response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack. 

Deb engaged in a discussion with the tribal students from Tripura who are studying at the school.
