Assam Rifles holds sessions to mark 11th International Yoga Day

REGIONAL, June 21, 2025: On the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day, the Assam Rifles conducted yoga sessions in areas of Tripura, west Manipur and Mizoram. It organised various yoga sessions throughout its Areas of Responsibilities.
The events saw the participation of countless people with the aim of promoting "Yoga for Body, Mind and Soul". Events focused on raising awareness of the benefits of Yoga. By highlighting the benefits of these practices, the initiatives seek to foster a community-driven movement towards better living.
In Tripura, Assam Rifles held Yoga Sessions at Radhanagar, Teilamura, Bagbassa and Phaitol in June 2025. The event saw the participation of 492 individuals with the aim of promoting "Yoga for Body, Mind and Soul".
The sessions commenced with a series of measures designed to introduce various yogasanas. The events focused on educating young children, ladies, students and Assam rifle personnel about the myriad of yoga postures and breathing techniques that contribute to overall fitness.
Through this initiative, the Assam Rifles sought to enhance body awareness, strength, flexibility, and to combat the fatigue experienced by both body and mind.
