Dr Saha acknowledges BSF's tireless efforts in securing border

AGARTALA, December 01, 2024: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha praised the Border Security Force (BSF) for their unwavering commitment to securing the border and protecting the people of the state. He acknowledged the BSF's tireless efforts since its establishment in 1965 and laid the importance of shielding borders to safeguard the country.
The Chief Minister was speaking at the 60th Raising Day of the BSF observed at the Tripura Frontier Headquarters near Agartala. Dr Saha also lauded the implementation of new technologies to strengthen defenses and improve the welfare of BSF personnel.
He assured the BSF of the state government's commitment to support their initiatives and felt the need to counter technological threats posed by terrorists. He expressed his personal connection to the BSF and paid tribute to the sacrifices made by BSF personnel and their families.
Dr Saha commended the BSF for their efforts in curbing smuggling, cross-border infiltration and illegal migration. He noted the BSF's significant role in guarding Tripura’s 856-km long border with Bangladesh.
