19-year-old Tripura teen Sneha Debnath went missing on July 7

AGARTALA, July 13, 2025: Police recovered the lifeless body of teen Sneha Debnath (19) who went missing on July 7 near the Signature Bridge in New Delhi Sunday evening. Preliminary reports said the body was recovered from the Yamuna River underneath the bridge.
Police sent the corpse for post-mortem. The exact reason behind her death would be known after autopsy, reports said.
The family confirmed to have found a “suicide note” from her belongings at home.
Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha earlier directed the state police to take up the issue with the Delhi counterpart. The family also approached the state government for help.

A college student from Tripura has mysteriously disappeared in New Delhi recently. Parents of the girl staying in Delhi as her father is working in the army at a facility in the national capital have urged the state government to help rescue her.
The girl went out of her home on a plea to receive her friend at the railway station. She was last seen getting down on the Signature Bridge at Wazirabad in Delhi.
The Signature Bridge is a cantilever spar cable-stayed bridge which spans the Yamuna River and connects Wazirabad to East Delhi.
The family of Sneha Debnath (19) hails from Bhuratali village in Sabroom subdivision, south Tripura.
The missing incident occurred on July 7. Her mobile phone is also found to be switched off.
The family has lodged a complaint with the Mehrauli police station. No progress has been made in the investigation so far.
