Proposed project to have largest Nataraj statue, Skywalk Bridge

AGARTALA, July 13, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has highlighted the importance of the tourism industry in achieving the state's socio-economic development. He asserted the state government's commitment to infrastructure development, housing, healthcare, education and rural income generation.
The Chief Minister Sunday spoke after unveiling plans for the 51 Shakti Peeth Park, a project costing around Rs 97.70 crore that will feature replicas of the 51 Shakti Peethas, the state's first glass skywalk bridge, the largest Nataraja statue, a 400-seat amphitheatre and other state-of-the-art facilities.
The project in Udaipur, headquarters of Gomati district will increase foreign exchange earnings, attract tourists from both within and abroad, and boost the financial sector of the area. The park will also help people learn about the culture and traditions of tribal communities, strengthening the state's GDP, the Chief Minister said.
The project will also include parking, commercial shops and urban plazas and is expected to be completed within 15 months. The state government is moving forward with development under the guidance of the Prime Minister.
Dr Saha also highlighted the priority areas of the government, including education, healthcare, improved communication systems and the development of tribal communities.
High-ranking officials, including Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Gomati Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Debal Debroy, MLA Rampada Jamatia, MLA Abhishek Debroy, MLA Jitendra Majumdar, Matabari Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Shilpi Das, Gomati District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police and other distinguished guests, were present at the event.
