Daily count of Covid-19 virus on the surge in Tripura
Agartala has been worst affected, CM said state fully prepared

AGARTALA, January 13 2022: The surge in daily count of Covid-19 infections in Tripura has caused widespread anxiety among general population. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb however assured readiness of the state government to deal with the situation including if there is a detection of Omicron variant.
The virus tally for the second day has taken a peak for the second consecutive day. The health department Thursday in its routine bulletin informed finding of 916 positive cases.
The positivity rate according to the bulletin has risen to 9.10 percent. Current positivity rate has become a matter of concern as the count came down to almost zero percent recently.
Chief Minister Deb, who holds the health portfolio, confirmed no detection of Omicron virus yet, but assured that the state government is fully prepared to tackle every emerging situation.
Health department officials said Agartala has been worst affected in comparison to other areas.
