It said the centre is solely responsible for the current situation

NATIONAL, December 28, 2024: The Polit Bureau (PB) of the CPI(M) has Saturday demanded that the Central government immediately initiate talks with representatives from all farmer organisations and their joint platforms to address their long-standing demands.
The PB has also expressed concern over the deteriorating health of senior farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been on a hunger strike since November 26. The protest is in support of the Kisan movement's “legitimate demands” for legal protection of the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and loan waivers.
The PB has stated that the Central government by refusing to intervene is solely responsible for the current situation. It has also noted the widespread unrest and concern among farmers across the country.
