CM reiterates commitment to welfare of Janajatis
He highlighted PM’s vision to develop last person in society

AGARTALA, September 16, 2025: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha reiterated the state government's commitment to the welfare of the Janajati (indigenous) community and plans to establish Adi Seva Kendras across the state to address their problems. He highlighted the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of the country's development focusing on the last person in society.
Chief Minister was speaking at the State Level Orientation Programme and State Process Labs under the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan held at Prajna Bhavan Tuesday.
He said the government has appointed TCS-equivalent officers at every subdivision and district level to ensure the welfare of the Janajati community. The Adi Seva Kendras will serve as a single-window system to resolve local issues with one day a week for complaint resolution and one Seva Day observed every month, he added.
The government has appointed 8 master trainers, 40 district master trainers and 260 block master trainers at the State Process Lab to serve around 8 lakh tribals in 392 revenue villages. The government will also set up 9 Forest Rights Cells and approve Rs. 14.21 crore for 119 Anganwadi centers.
Dr Saha informed the honorary allowance of Janajati community leaders has been increased to Rs 5,000.
