13th Tripura Legislative Assembly will begin on September 19

Deputy Speaker will preside over the session as Speaker is unwell

AGARTALA, September 15, 2025: Parliamentary Affairs Minister of Tripura Ratan Lal Nath announced that the eighth session of the 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly will begin on September 19 and continue until September 23. Deputy Speaker will preside over the session as Speaker Bishwabandhu Sen has been unwell and receiving treatment outside.

The Assembly will hold discussions on the four bills to be tabled on September 19. The session will resume on September 23 as the Prime Minister is slated to visit Tripura on September 22.

Proceedings of the session will include Question and Answer sessions, discussions on Private Members' Resolutions and discussions on the four bills. The decisions were made based on the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting held Monday.
