CM Dr Saha emphasises the importance of quality education

AGARTALA, May 02, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha emphasised the importance of quality education, particularly in the current digital era. He highlighted the need for teachers to stay updated to keep students up-to-date with technology.
Saha inaugurated Friday several new school buildings, including Ramnagar Higher Secondary School in Agartala, Barakantal Higher Secondary School, Darogamura High School, Khudiram Basu English Medium School and Sukanta Academy English Medium Higher Secondary School. While speaking he compared the state of the education system in the 1970s to a chaotic stating that the future of the country and the state depends on students and youth.
He stressed the need for quality education to ensure human resource development and reduced dropout rates. The government is also recruiting quality teachers through the Teacher Education Test (TET) and plans to spend over Rs 151 Crore on infrastructure development in 123 schools. The state government is working on digital education with emphasis.
The state government is also working to bring neglected, poor, minority communities, and women under the education system.
