Chief Minister meets union tribal affairs minister Jual Oram

CM requested for Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) in Mizoram

REGIONAL, May 25, 2025: Chief Minister Lalduhoma Sunday evening called on Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram at his office in New Delhi. The Chief Minister requested the Union Minister to consider the establishment of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) in Mizoram.

The Union Minister assured that steps are being taken in this regard and new guidelines are being drawn up to recruit staff and teachers for the EMRS region wise. He also said that he would take all possible steps to provide better treatment to drug addicts.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Commissioner & Secretary to Chief Minister Vanlaldina Fanai, Secretary, Planning & Program Implementation Lalmalsawma Pachuau and OSD to CM R Lalrodingi.
