Chief Minister Lalduhoma attends seminar on cybercrime

REGIONAL, October 07, 2024: The Mizoram Journalists Association (MJA) organised a seminar on cybercrime at the Serchhip Press Club which was attended by Chief Minister Lalduhoma. The event highlighted the increasing number of cybercrime cases and emphasised the importance of public awareness in internet activities.

The Chief Minister stressed the need for preventive measures in online transactions and communications. 

In May 2022, the Mizoram government established a Cyber Crime Police Station, which has registered 158 cases in 2022, 72 cases in 2023 and 33 cases in the current year. The seminar was chaired by C Lalrambuatsaiha, and Zonunsanga, Addl SP, CID Crime, gave a detailed presentation.
