Centre extends ceasefire with a splinter group of the NSCN

NEW DELHI, September 05, 2024: The Ceasefire Agreement between the Government of India and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (K)/Niki group has been extended for a period of one year.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Thursday announced that the decision made to extend the Ceasefire Agreement from September 8, 2024 to September 7, 2025. The original Agreement was signed on September 6, 2021.
