
SHILLONG: Meghalaya State Food Testing Laboratory in Meghalaya Monday launched two advanced analytical instruments—Automated Water Analyser and GC-FID (Gas Chromatograph with Flame Ionization Detector)—as part of its second Technical Session.
This initiative, attended by key officials including Minister of Health & Family Welfare Wailadmiki Shylla aims to enhance food and water safety through scientific methods. The Automated Water Analyser will improve water quality testing, while the GC-FID will enable detailed analysis of organic compounds, ensuring quality control measures.
The session focused on strengthening the food safety ecosystem through innovation and public awareness, reaffirming the laboratory’s dedication to high safety standards for the citizens.
