BSF Tripura joins ‘Each One-Plant One Campaign’

AGARTALA, May 22 2020: BSF Tripura, while safeguarding & defending the extreme territorial limits of the country, has also accepted the challenges posed by deforestation and depleting biodiversity. 
Friday, on the occasion of “International Biodiversity Day”, BSF Tripura Frontier organized the ‘Each One – Plant One (Tree Plantation) Campaign" at BSF Campus Salbagan, Frontier Headquarter Tripura to create awareness about benefits of tree plantation. During this campaign, Solomon Yash Kumar Minz, Inspector General Tripura Frontier and other senior BSF Officers were present and plantation of 500 saplings of various fruit bearing and ornamental plants in the Campus area was carried out, following the necessary protocols of COVID-19.
Further, BSF fraternity took a pledge to make our planet earth green. Above plantation drive was aimed at motivating people to plant more and more trees to combat the adverse impact of climate change.
Through this Campaign, BSF Tripura also contributes to the State level “Clean Tripura – Green Tripura Campaign”.
