Autumn Festival marks prelude of the Hornbill Festival
Festival aimed to reach out to different sections of the population

REGIONAL, October 19, 2024: The second day of the Autumn Festival in New Delhi marked the prelude to the 25th edition of the Hornbill Festival 2024. The festival organized by the Nagaland Tourism in collaboration with the Resident Commissioner's Office, Nagaland House, New Delhi, and supported by the Ministry of Tourism. The event, which will continue until October 20 offers visitors the chance to enjoy Naga cuisines, traditional sticky rice beer (Zutho), music and a wide collection of Naga jewelry, textiles and handicrafts.
Local artisans from Noklak will also demonstrate the weaving of bamboo baskets and wooden handicrafts. The Resident Commissioner Wennyei Konyak delivered the welcome address, and the Ao Naga Choir and Delhi Eastern Naga Students' Union performed songs.
A fashion show on Naga indigenous modern wear by Kintem was also presented. The festival aims to reach out to different sections of the population.
