Assam Rifles installs 72 feet-high national flag at Srikona

Event was attended by AR ESM, school children, NCC cadets

REGIONAL, September 10, 2025: Major General Suresh Bhambhu, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (East), Wednesday unfurled a 72-feet-high Monumental National Flag at HQ IGAR East, Srikona, in the presence of Major General Ashim Kohli, CEO of the Flag Foundation of India.

The event was attended by Assam Rifles ESM, school children, NCC cadets, families and children of Srikona garrison.

The Srikona garrison, located near Silchar in Assam, serves as the Inspector General Headquarters and hosts various community events.
