Asian film festival set to take place from February 7
Festival will feature over 200 feature films from various countries

REGIONAL, January 16, 2025: he Guwahati Asian Film Festival (GAFF) 2025, organised by Trending Now Media, is set to take place from February 7 to 9 at the historic Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio in Guwahati. The festival will feature over 200 feature films from various Asian countries, including Iran, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Azerbaijan, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Turkey.
A special competitive section will recognise outstanding achievements in categories such as Best Film, Best Direction, and Best Performance. The festival will also host panel discussions and workshops led by renowned filmmakers and industry experts, fostering meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
Honorary Programme Director Kishore Kumar Sarma urged the people at large to attend the festival stating that it is an excellent opportunity for cine-lovers to experience diverse cultures, stories, and artistic expressions. The festival will also feature Sri Lankan filmmaker Prasanna Vithanage as a chief guest along with renowned film critic Srinivasa Santhanam, National Award-winning filmmaker Utpal Borpujari, National Award-winning filmmaker Manju Borah and prominent film critic, music journalist, and editor Dalton Christopher.
The inaugural edition of GAFF aims to become a cornerstone cultural event, fostering global appreciation for Asian cinema.
