45 Indian pilgrims die in a road mishap in Saudi Arabia
The bus was carrying 46 passengers with only one injured survivor

NATIONAL, November 17, 2025: At least 45 Indian pilgrims, including 18 members of a single family, died in a tragic bus accident involving a collision with a diesel tanker in Saudi Arabia while the bus was en route from Mecca to Medina early Monday. The bus was carrying 46 passengers with only one survivor currently receiving treatment.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed state Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and DGP B Shivadhar Reddy to urgently gather information regarding the incident, especially concerning the involvement of residents from Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister also directed that the officials from the Ministry of External Affairs and the Saudi Embassy be contacted to implement immediate relief measures.
Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi coordinated with local travel agencies to relay passenger details to the Indian Embassy in Riyadh.
The Prime Minister and External Affairs Minister expressed grief over the tragedy.
