“Nationalistic Songs and Social Inclusion” themed

AGARTALA, June 07 2023: The 7-day Summer School for the students of the adopted villages of Tripura University has been successfully concluded. The programme held between May 31 and June 6.
The theme of the workshop was “Nationalistic Songs & Social Inclusion” (Swadeshi Jagran for Atma Nirbhar Bharat). It was organized under the joint supervision of Tripura University's Center for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, the Department of Performing Arts, Tripura University and Swadeshi Jagran Manch of Vishyavidyalaya Prant to safeguard the unity of the country irrespective of caste, creed and clan.
Dr Rajesh Chatterjee, Dr Utpal Biswas and Dr Jai Saha Mahasaya were respectively convener and Joint Convener of the programme. Dr Alok Acharya imparted patriotic music training to the students studying in the schools of the adopted villages of Tripura University with the aim of Swadeshi Jaganan and Self-reliant India.
Tripura Central University Honorary Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof Chandrika Basu Majumder, Prof Badal Kumar Dutta and other professors, parents of the participants and NSS were present in the closing ceremony.
Eminent persons through their speeches inspired the students to be patriotic and motivated to become conscious citizens. They emphasised to know ‘Bharat’ through its own culture and religion.
All the talented pupils together performed the university anthem, "Atmanirbhar Amra Bal Vande Mataram", "Sangachchadhbang Sambadbong" original patriotic songs and folk songs and won the appreciation of all.
The closing ceremony was conducted by Dr Partha Sarthi Sheel, Professor of Sanskrit Department and the program concluded with the National Anthem.
