CM pins Union Budget's focus on enhancing family incomes

AGARTALA: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha highlighted the Union Budget's focus on enhancing family incomes and socio-economic conditions at a press conference in the BJP office here Monday. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for citizen welfare reflected in the budget, particularly its dedication to improving the education sector through quality education initiatives. 

Dr Saha in his remarks expressed satisfaction with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's presentation of the budget, marking it as the 80th in Parliament’s history and underscored the government's goal of achieving a developed India by 2047.

He underlined the budget's commitment to infrastructure development, capital expenditure and future connectivity through logistics and urban development. Dr Saha reiterated the Prime Minister's focus on four key demographics: youth, farmers, the poor, and women, noting targeted measures to ensure fair crop prices for farmers and enhance agricultural infrastructure, alongside affordable health care and mental health services for citizens.

The budget allocates resources for quality education across various educational institutions and infrastructure improvements in transportation sectors such as roads, railways, aviation, and waterways. It also includes programs to boost skill development for youth, promote renewable energy use, reduce pollution and offers tax concessions for the middle class. Finally, Chief Minister outlined that the budget emphasizes development for marginalized communities and the growth of infrastructure as foundational pillars for future progress.
