Bangladesh reports 6th coronavirus death, 54 infected

AGARTALA, April 01, 2020: Bangladesh Wednesday officially confirmed one more death from the coronavirus, but maintaining silence on some reported deaths occurred in districts over past three days.

Official death toll in Bangladesh now reaches six.

Tally of infected people rose to 54 with three more people tested positive for the virus.

Among the infected cases, 26 have recovered and returned home, according to officials.

Kurmitola General Hospital has been prepared for the treatment of coronavirus patients and will be equipped with sufficient ventilators, Bangladesh health minister said in a media briefing.   

He informed that other facilities like Gastroliver Hospital and Bangladesh Kuwait Friendship Hospital were being prepared.
