57th Coco Area Students’ Union programme in Akuhaito
REGIONAL: Nagaland Principal Secretary Y Kikheto Sema served as the Special Guest at the 57th Coco Area Students’ Union programme in Akuhaito Tuesday. He reflected on the historical struggles of the Coco area, which comprises four villages noting severe underdevelopment and lack of road connectivity around 35 years ago.
Despite past adversities, Sema praised local students for their determination in pursuing education, resulting in the community producing notable figures, including three MLAs, a Judge, an IAS officer and several Directors and Secretaries in the public service.
He stressed the importance of education, encouraged current students to commit to their studies, and urged them to excel across various fields to bring honour to the region.
The conference runs from January 6 to 8 featuring distinguished speakers such as Kahuto Sema and retired SCERT Director Yevito Chisho.
