3 NLFT(BM) extremists surrender to Police

AGARTALA, May 13 2021: Three extremists of the NLFT(BM) group have surrendered to police here Thursday. Police said the returnees deposited one pistol with a loaded magazine and incriminating documents.

The Special Branch (SB), intelligence wing of the state police, organised surrender of Rupadhan Debbarma (30), Amush Tripura (32) and Dilip Debbarma (43). They fled a militant camp in Bangladesh prior to their surrender.

The extremists joined the NLFT in 2018 and thereafter underwent training in Myanmar and Bangladesh.
