REGIONAL: Manipur Governor and Acting Governor of Nagaland Ajay Kumar Bhalla extended his greetings on occasion of Christmas and the New Year. In a message Tuesday he said Christmas reminds us of the enduring values of love, compassion, humility, forgiveness and service to humanity-values.
The statement reads:
“On the joyous occasion of Christmas and as we welcome the New Year, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Nagaland.
Christmas, commemorating the birth of Lord Jesus Christ, holds a special significance. It reminds us of the enduring values of love, compassion, humility, forgiveness and service to humanity-values that have long guided the people of Nagaland in fostering harmony, resilience and mutual respect.
As we step into the New Year, it is an opportune moment to reflect on our collective journey and renew our commitment to peace, unity and inclusive development.
